The 'Allied Health Professions' (AHPs) are a group of 14 specialist careers, all requiring some level of university level training.

ODPs play a vital role in the surgical team, making sure everything is ready for procedures and that patients are well cared for.

To be an Allied Health Professional in the UK, you need a mix of compassion, great communication skills, and a sharp analytical mind. These roles are really important in patient care, so it’s all about working well with others in the healthcare team. Paying attention to detail and being flexible in a fast-paced environment are key qualities to have. Plus, staying up-to-date with the latest in healthcare practices is a must. At the end of the day, a good Allied Health Professional builds trust with patients while providing excellent care
